Alex Hornstein

Alex Hornstein is an inventor, wildlife photographer, entrepreneur and teacher. A founder of a half-dozen companies ranging from holographic display to solar energy, Alex founded Ventilator Project in 2020 as a community-driven response to the worldwide ventilator shortage due to the COVID-19 pandemic, where he has supplied respiratory equipment and training to health-care systems in 30countries around the world. Outside of medicine, Alex is the president Ex, Inc, a company dedicated to experimentation, exploration and expression of the natural world. When he’s not in the lab, you can find him on the tops of a mountain or at the bottom of the ocean, but always with his wife and daughter
